Beaten but not battered. With GMs on top three boards, and IMs on next four, chances of extending winning run against WG slim. Grew slimmer when Rohan unavoidably detained at BoE - some excuse about saving Economy - meant Mike summoned from the bar to sub B6 against player rated 77 points higher. No drunken fairy tale ending, though he acquitted himself well.

Exciting match - level at 4½ all one stage - before normal WG service was resumed. Nevertheless, respectable scoreline, and several fine individual DK performances. True to say we gave them a run for Brian's money...
